My productivity app is a never-ending .txt file from Jeff Huang, via the Dec 12 Hacker Newsletter.

In some weird way this gave me permission to go back to a system I’ve been consciously or unconsciously trying to replicate for years. Along the way I’ve tried Roam, Obsidian, Bear, Apple Notes, Drafts, Simplenote, and others. There’s an obvious midwit meme here. No knock on any of these pieces of software, many of them are fantastic. But the simplicity of a single file and the clean constraints of a .txt file: hard to beat.
