What am I up to at the minute? I signed myself up for two personal projects over the last month or so. First, I started a bit of a reading course in ethics. I found myself thinking a little bit about the interaction between moral systems / rules on one hand and personal judgement on the other. So after some discussion back and forth with AI, I kicked off a reading series. I started with W.D. Ross' The Right and the Good, and am now working on Bernard Williams' Ethics and the Limits of Philosophy. Further down the list are Martha Nussbaum’s The Fragility of Goodness and Philippa Foot’s Virtues and Vices.

Second, I’m revisiting a script writing exercise I started about a year ago… and didn’t make much headway on initially: an adapted screenplay of Primo Levi’s If Not Now, When? I’m thinking about it as a prestige TV miniseries, but only want to write the first episode.

Lastly, I’m playing lots of backgammon with the girls.
